Tern and Plover Conservation Partnership Here is more information on the banded Piping Plover. 06244 - banded as an adult female at Big Quill Lake, SK in 2006. Big Quill has been flooded massively starting in 2006 (natural >50 yr high). She has been seen every winter since then, including 2008, at Padre Island National Seashore, TX. Thanks for the information, Joel!

Tern and Plover Conservation Partnership Great news! The first Piping Plover of the year was spotted yesterday, 21 April, near North Bend in Dodge County, Nebraska, by Mary Bomberger Brown. The little plover was quite lonely, but probably not for long.
